G S. Gurung

Principal GS Gurung, a cornerstone of Sikkim Himalayan Academy, began his educational journey at Begha Primary Government School, progressed through Dentam Secondary Government School, and completed his schooling at Heeyangtham Senior Secondary. He then pursued a Science degree at Sikkim Government College in Tadong, Gangtok.

In 2003, he joined Sikkim Himalayan Academy as a teacher, becoming one of the pioneering educators and caretakers with the support of local visionaries and sponsors. His dedication to education led him to complete a D.El.Ed. course through distance learning. By 2012, his unwavering commitment and natural leadership saw him take on the role of principal. Under his guidance, the academy has flourished, embodying his vision and dedication to nurturing young minds.
