Michael Rai

Michael Rai, a dedicated educator and passionate musician, hails from the serene monastery village of Rinchenpong in West Sikkim Schooled at Don Bosco Malbasey, Soreng, and later earning his BSc in Botany from Namchi Government College, Kamrang. He further honed his teaching skills with a D.El.Ed. and an internship at Dentam Senior Secondary School.

Michael expanded his expertise with a special Hindi training course from the Institute of Hindi Training Agra. In addition to his academic pursuits, Michael’s love for music led him to the International School of Music in Darjeeling, where he mastered drums and classical guitar up to Grade 3.

For the past year at SHA in Buriakhop, Michael has found inspiration in the children's resilience and the supportive school environment. Surrounded by a circle of fellow teachers, Michael is driven to give his best, blending his love for education and music to enrich the lives of his students.
