Prameela Rai

Prameela Rai, a seasoned educator with a wealth of experience and a nurturing spirit, traces her educational roots back to Sombaria Senior Secondary School. Her journey in teaching began with a D.El.Ed. diploma in elementary education from Madhya Pradesh, setting the stage for a distinguished career.

With a career spanning outside Sikkim, Prameela spent three years at Rising Public School in Gwalior, MP, followed by a year at Maxwell International School in Raseedpur, Rajasthan, before joining Sikkim Himalayan Academy in 2019. As the longest-serving teacher at SHA, she brings six years of dedicated service.

Hailing from the picturesque twin village of Ribdi Bhareng in West Sikkim, known for its breath taking Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary, Prameela's commitment to nurturing young minds is matched only by her love for her roots and the natural beauty that surrounds her. Her dedication and warmth make her a cherished member of the SHA community, enriching the lives of her students with every lesson taught.
