What it Takes
In SHA, we have created an environment fostering a lifelong learning passion. Here is an opportunity for you to be a part of something special, to be a member of a community that preserves the ancient local languages and traditions and also prepares children to be modern global citizens. In this residential school, we provide opportunities to approximately 60-70 children starting from Nursery to Class 5. The kids enjoy the benefits of almost free education, uniforms, books & accessories, and full nutritional meals.
You can also help by sponsoring One Child which is ₹3,500 per month and ₹40,000 yearly. We keep steady records of every child's growth and learning capacity, which is sent to the sponsors.

Post their finishing Standard 5 we counsel the parents and students and help those who are keen to pursue a quality higher education.
We first prepare them for scholarishps in private schools that provide free education on passing their entrance and adhering to certain criterias. If they do not succeed here, we try to find individual sponsors who are willing to fund their schooling in a private school, Don Bosco . CONTRIBUTE TO OUR FIXED EXPENSES
Teacher's Remuneration:
Our aim is to provide high-quality education and stability to the students which we can only achieve when our teachers have stable compensation and work security. Often in the past, we had to let go of very good teachers because the School could not gather enough funding for the salary. To bypass this problem, we hereby are proposing stable funding for the compensation, yearly.
Our objective is to enhance the educational quality and effectiveness of our institution by investing in the professional development of our teaching staff. By providing targeted training and resources, we intend to empower our educators with the latest teaching methodologies and strategies, ultimately benefiting the students under their care.
We have 8 teachers and 2 support staff their monthly remuneration amount to INR 1,20,000.
Rent & Fixed Expenses:
While the school is making plans to acquire its own land at the moment the land on which the school stands is a rented land.
We are reaching out to seek your support in sponsoring the rent for the land on which our NGO school stands. Your contribution will help us provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students learn and grow. By partnering with us, you can make a significant impact on the lives of children in our community Together, we can ensure that education remains accessible to those need it most.
Yearly Rent: INR 50,0000
The School also provides 3 meals plus tea for the hostel children and staff all days of the week and also one mid day meal for all the day scholars. We are therefore seeking sponsorship for groceries and fuel to support meal programs at our NGO school. Your generous contribution will help us provide nutritious meals to our students, ensuring they have the energy and focus to thrive in their education. Together, we can make a significant impact on their lives.
Monthly Expenses for Groceries and Fuel: INR 45,000
Textbooks:
Access to quality educational resources is crucial for their academic success, and with your sponsorship, we can ensure that every child has the tools they need to thrive. We appreciate your consideration and support in making a difference in the lives of these young learners. Currently the textbooks are partly paid for by the school and partly by the parents of the students.
Total cost of books for 65 students is INR 1,50,000 per year.
Overall Expenses
The total yearly expenses for Sikkim Himalayan Academy is ₹26,00,000 only. You may help us by donating this amount and sponsoring the school for One Year or more. We are also looking for stable yearly funding from CSR or any other Funding organisation and you may help us to find the same.The funds received will be used for providing study materials, sports equipment, hostel expenses, rent of the school building, uniforms, and food.
